October Employee Owner of the Month: Michael Watters

When it comes to hard work and dedication, Michael Watters sets the bar high. Since joining Team Kline less than a year ago, Michael has made an immediate impact through his strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and pride in his craftsmanship. 

From day one, Michael has been all in. During the merger, he was one of the first employees to see the opportunity that came with joining a larger, employee-owned company—and he jumped right in. Whether he’s tackling a new skill, helping his team on site, or finding ways to save resources, Michael approaches every task with energy and purpose. He’s known for saving smaller pieces of material to reuse on future jobs, helping the company cut costs while reducing waste. 

Michael’s attitude on the job is just as impressive as his technical skills. He’s always the first one out of the van, ready to get to work. When his lead is talking with management, Michael keeps himself busy—cleaning, organizing, or restocking tools without being asked. His teammates describe him as: 

“An incredibly hard worker who never stops trying and never stops improving. His commitment to learning new skills and striving for the best sets him apart. The company and the job are always his priority, and his craftsmanship reflects the pride he takes in his work.” 

“Michael has been with us for less than a year but has demonstrated exceptional punctuality and drive to learn. During our merger with Team Kline, he was one of the guys who was 100% on board immediately and saw the huge potential with the larger company. He saves smaller pieces of material and reuses them on other jobs to save money. He is the first to hop out of the van as soon as they arrive on site. When his lead guy is speaking to management at the shop, he always stays busy restocking and cleaning out the van. His attitude is always upbeat, and he truly appreciates his job. Overall, he is just a genuinely good person and employee. He has a very bright future!” 

“He’s a hard worker. Strives for the best and never stops working, always pushing for better, keeps his head down and constantly works and never complains.” 

It’s that blend of drive, humility, and team spirit that makes Michael stand out. His positive attitude and appreciation for the work he does have made him a valued part of Team Kline, and his future here is looking bright.
